Energy systems laboratory Home Page

It is the comparatively new laboratory where the energy system laboratory was newly born against the background of the importance of energy having increased increasingly in 1997 for the purpose of effective use of energy, and research of energy-saving technology based on the power electronics technology which has been the main research subject of an "electric power engineering" field from 20 years before. Although joint management was carried out with the "electrical machinery system", from April, 2002, joint management will be performed with a "control system" and it has continued till present at the beginning of birth. The Energy Systems Laboratory...

1. Research on development of efficient power generation system using natural energy
Research on the electric power conversion machine and the efficient power generation controlling method for utilizing effectively natural energies changed every moment, such as wind force and sunlight energy, is done. It is inquiring now about the high response control and efficient-izing of a small wind power system which used the wind power equipment of number 100W class chiefly.
2. Examination of electric equivalent model of solar cell
Construction of the electric equivalent model of a solar cell and examination about the mounting method are performed for verification of the photovoltaics system which is not influenced by natural environment.
3. Examination of power generation system using SRM
Examination about the possibility using the new motor of a power generation system which does not use the existing dynamos, such as a synchronous machine and a guidance machine, is performed.
4. Research on active filter
Control of the harmonics which theirs generate is needed as electric devices, such as a personal computer and an air-conditioner, spread through ordinary homes. Therefore, the electromagnetism for office, a home, etc. -- the active filter aiming at control of a noise or power supply harmonics current is studied
